The Institute of Space Sciences co-organises, together with Institut de Física d'Altes Energies (IFAE), the Postgraduate Program of High Energy Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology.

This posgraduate program is part of the doctoral program of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) that has been awarded with the Spanish Mention of Quality. The master program has a one-year duration, with 60 ECTS (42 compulsory credits + 12 master credits + 18 electives). Its goal is to provide students with the essential tools necessary to start a research career in any of the disciplines taught.

Around 20 students from Spain and Europe take the program every year, and about 50% choose the ASTRO branch and carry out the scientific research of their Master Thesis at the Institute of Space Sciences (ICE-CSIC). Many students stay later at our institute to start their PhD.
